Saints need to look up

Oran Kearney insists St Mirren are more interested in catching Hamilton and Motherwell than holding off Dundee in the table.

The Saints picked up only their second point under Kearney away to the rock-bottom Dark Blues.

The Buddies remain a point ahead but Kearney is adamant his battlers should be looking to pull the teams above them back into the relegation fight.

He said: “It is a point on the board but I would rather have had the three.

“I am not looking down, I am looking up.

“The key for us and Dundee is to try and suck two or three other teams back in, those that have made a little bit of ground in recent weeks.

“We want these teams back into the mix.”
