£300 to take tea with TV star Mary
Baking fans are forking out £ 300 for afternoon tea and cakes on a train with TV host Mary Berry.
The former Great British Bake Off presenter will take to the rails with her guests for a three-hour jaunt on a Pullman service.
Travellers can chat with the national treasure while scoffing sandwiches, savouries, cakes and puds, washed down with sparkling wine, tea or coffee.
They’ll also get to meet TV judge Mary – who quit Bake Off when it moved from the BBC to Channel 4 – and be handed a “surprise” gift by the star when they get off.
Guests are advised to dress smartly – jeans and trainers are frowned upon –for two jaunts from London to Kent in May next year.
