Sunday Mail (UK) - - Lesley Roberts -

If we could pause for a moment while drying our eyes, we’d have a round of applause for Sean Milligan, assistant delivery manager for Royal Mail in Bathgate.

The tender-hearted postie wrote to reassure a grieving little boy called Jase that his letter to his late daddy really did reach him in Heaven. “This was a difficult challenge avoiding stars and other galactic objects,” he wrote. “I will continue to do all I can to ensure delivery to Heaven safely.”

It made seven-yearold Jase’s day and it touched his mother Teri’s heart.

“Royal Mail, you’ve just restored my faith in humanity and thank you,” she said. Tears again? Me too. Just a small gesture, with such a big effect.

At the busiest time of year, Sean took the time to get it just right. Sending kindness through the mail: A lesson for us all this Christmas.
