Theresa May allocated just three hours for her Brexit-bandwagon trip to Scotland and a whole 10 minutes answering questions from the press.

Well, by “answering questions” I mean “spouting the usual drivel” on how her Brexit plan is a “good deal for Scotland”. Yes, it’s a belter, even though it’ll cost Scotland £9billion a year, some £1610 per person. It was rather appropriate that she visited a Renfrewshire leather factory given her proximity to the political knacker’s yard.

While the Bank of England and the Treasury issued dire warnings over leaving (thank you, Mark Carney, for the very belated intervention) and Labour’s John McDonnell couldn’t make up his mind about a People’s Vote, May still ploughed her lonely furrow.

The donkeys are in charge and they’re leading us to hee-haw.
