Nine news team full of hope.. till I’m A Celeb returns

Got a sneak peek of BBC Scotland’s new £7million news programme The Nine (it’ll be on at 9pm, you see). Quite exciting.

They’re certainly getting their money’s worth out of the smart purple set. It’s sitting smack-bang in the centre of the Beeb’s Glasgow headquarters.

Viciously sharp edges on the glass coffee table and an uncomfortable sofa suggest the guests won’t be there for a cosy chat. The One Show, this is not. Thank goodness. There’s only so much anyone cares about the plight of hedgehogs on Hampstead Heath.

The Nine team are promising “the world through Scottish eyes”, delivered via the new BBC Scotland channel as of February next year.

Just the audience to convince that 9pm is the best time to get their live news. Tough gig. But at least I’m A Celebrity will be finished by then…
