TV NOEL’S MY DOWN WONDER

Joy of TV star’s wife

- Halina Watts

Noel Edmonds’ wife said she is delighted he was booted off I’m A Celeb – and compared his exit to Brexit.

The 69-year-old’s eviction left mi l lions of TV v iewers – including other celebrities – shocked as many had tipped him to be crowned the eventual winner.

But his third wife Liz, 49, said Noel’s departure was written in the stars.

She added: “It’s a bit like Brexit, everybody voted but are now moaning about the result.

“I thought he was going to go. I don’t know why, it’s just a feeling. Lots of people in the country might be sad and angry he has been voted out but I’m really pleased.”

Noel and Liz – who married in 2009 – believe in cosmic ordering, a version of positive thinking.

She added: “The cosmos gives you everything for a reason. If this is the decision then so be it.”

Noel was only on the show for nine days, earning £500,000.

Fol lowing his shock exit , cel ebr i t ies vented thei r frustration on social media.

Rock star Liam Gallagher said: “ThThere’sThere’s only one Noel Edmonds. As you were.” TV presenter Matthew Wright

wrote: “What the hell is wrong with the British public? How can Noel Edmonds go first? The most entertaining campmate of the bunch.”

Radio 2’s Jeremy Vine said: “I cannot believe Noel Edmonds is out of the jungle.”

Noel is now expected to rake in millions from a book deal, celebrity endorsements and a YouTube project offer to turn him and Liz into fitness gurus.

He said he felt “frazzled” coming out of the jungle and added: “I would have loved to have contributed more. I still had a few tricks up my sleeve.”

Noel said he wants Harry or Fleur to win.
