Pregnant woman robbed in street

A suspect was being hunted last night af ter a pregnant woman was robbed.

The 27-year- old was hit on the back of the head and knocked to the ground by a man, who then grabbed her handbag.

The victim was walking along Crow Road, in Anniesland, Glasgow, near the Morrisons supermarket, shortly before 8pm on Friday when the attack happened.

A passer- by ran to the woman’s aid but the suspect ran off.

She was taken to the city’s Queen Elizabeth University Hospital for treatment and later released. Police say the woman was lef t badly shaken by the ordeal.

The attacker is believed to be in his 30s and around 5ft 7in. At the time of the incident, he was wearing a black hooded jacket and black trousers.

Police spent yesterday gathering CCTV from shops and businesses in the area.
