Barrowman turned down I’m A Celebrity and Celebrity Big Brother in the past but admitted going into the jungle that he had high hopes of being crowned winner.

Barrowman was removed from camp and rushed to hospital last week after spraining his ankle.

The show’s producers were forced to change this year’s Celebrity Cyclone challenge because of the injury.

Barrowman was able to take part in the Rotten Retrieval trial last week but had to wear a black bin bag over his injured foot. However, producers had no other option but to alter the Celebrity ity Cyclone – where contestant­s are hit by high pressure water cannons and gail- force winds – because the physical exertion would have been excessive.

The task team changed his role and d created the special position of keeper r of the stars.

It saw Barrowman having to solvee a puzzle to release the stars and throw ow them to the other contestant­s who took ok on the course.
