Parents in primary pupil rape threat row

-

A boy has been banned from using his primary school’s toilets after he was accused of threatening to rape classmates.

The pupil is alleged to have left other children in tears following a string of sexually violent threats.

Worried parents have complained to staf f at Loanhead Primary in Kilmarnock after their children told them about the incidents.

They claim the school responded to concerns by ordering the boy to stay out of the boys’ lavatory and ask for a key to use a separate toilet. The pupil has also been accused of attacking another boy outside the school gates.

Dad Anthony McNulty, 44, said: “This child has been making disgusting threats to my child.

“It’s happened on more than one occasion. I think his behaviour is dangerous and unacceptable.”

Another father, who did not want to be named, said: “My son comes home from school and he tells me this boy has been climbing up on his back saying ‘ I’m raping you’.”

Linda McAulay-Griffiths, head of education at East Ayrshire Council said they had procedures in place to support all young people in their care.
