Par­ents in pri­mary pupil rape threat row

A boy has been banned from using his pri­mary school’s toi­lets af­ter he was ac­cused of threat­en­ing to rape class­mates.

The pupil is al­leged to have left other chil­dren in tears fol­low­ing a string of sex­u­ally vi­o­lent threats.

Wor­ried par­ents have com­plained to staf f at Loan­head Pri­mary in Kil­marnock af­ter their chil­dren told them about the in­ci­dents.

They claim the school re­sponded to con­cerns by or­der­ing the boy to stay out of the boys’ lava­tory and ask for a key to use a sep­a­rate toi­let. The pupil has also been ac­cused of at­tack­ing an­other boy out­side the school gates.

Dad An­thony McNulty, 44, said: “This child has been mak­ing dis­gust­ing threats to my child.

“It’s hap­pened on more than one oc­ca­sion. I think his be­hav­iour is dan­ger­ous and unacceptable.”

An­other fa­ther, who did not want to be named, said: “My son comes home from school and he tells me this boy has been climb­ing up on his back say­ing ‘ I’m rap­ing you’.”

Linda McAu­lay-Grif­fiths, head of ed­u­ca­tion at East Ayr­shire Coun­cil said they had pro­ce­dures in place to support all young peo­ple in their care.
