A notorious drug dealer who raped his addict victims has died.
Peter Docherty – dubbed The Blob – was once Scotland’s fattest inmate.
The 49- year- old sold heroin to despe rat e prostitutes in Glasgow, Greenock and Port Glasgow. He died on December 5.
Fo rme r c omput e r technician Docherty – who at one point weighed more than 26st – was jailed for six years for dealing heroin in 2001 after a Sunday Mail investigation exposed his trade. He was then sentenced to four years after he was convicted of raping two women who were drug users.
A source said: “Docherty was involved in the illegal drugs trade for years, even after he was released. He struggled with his weight and was never healthy.”
