BBC MAN DENIES CLUSTER CLAIM
The BBC has denied one of its journalists agreed to be part of an Integrity Initiative “cluster” after his name appeared on a list of members.
Diplomatic correspondent Jonathan Marcus, left, is named on leaked documents as being in a “sub group”.
He also rejected claims the story was downplayed after coverage appeared under the headline: “Russia hack ‘bid to discredit’ UK antidisinformation campaign – The Foreign Office”.
BBC said it was untrue to suggest there has been any external interference on this BBC story.
They added that neither Marcus nor the BBC knew of the list of journalists, nor did he or the BBC consent to be part of any so-called cluster.
