SKRIPAL HOUSE IS TAKEN APART
A military team yesterday began dismantling the home of former Russian spy Sergei Skripal – 10 months after he and his daughter Yulia were poisoned there.
Soldiers in gas masks, rubber gloves and camouflage uniforms were seen taking out a window in a novichok decontamination plan by the Environment Department.
They are also preparing to take the roof off the semi and its garage.
A neighbour said: “It’s disconcerting to see soldiers in protective gear after all this time. We keep being told we’ve nothing to worry about but it doesn’t feel like they’re telling us the full story.”
Sergei and Yulia – now living in a secret location – were critically ill after being poisoned in March.
