Huge lift for Wheel fans

Members of the public will be able to take a tour inside the Falkirk Wheel for the first time next month.

Until now, visitors to the world’s only rotating boat lift have been able to marvel at the iconic structure from the outside. But Scottish Canal s said tours on February 23 to 24 would reveal its “hidden magic”.

The wheel draws about 500,000 tourists a year.
