“I just count my blessings that I was there, I was a wee part of Scottish history.

“I’m sure there won’t be a dry eye in the country when it comes to an end and I will definitely be tuning in.”

Jamie will also be keeping an eye on Scots star Karen Gillan’s next move. He worked with her on her directoria­l debut, the well-received and recently released Inverness-set film The Party’s Just Beginning.
