Volvo sales in top gear

Volvo set a new global sales record in 2018, breaking the 600,000 milestone for the first time since they were founded in 1927.

The firm’s sales rose 12.4 per cent to 642,253 cars last year compared with the same period in 2017.

This is the fifth consecutive year of record global sales for Volvo Cars – in 2017, they sold 571,577 cars. The record underscores strong demand for Volvos, especially the SUV line-up, led by the XC60.
