Protesters give it their vest shot
Hundreds of people marched against austerity yesterday in a “yellow vest”inspired protest.
The Britain Is Broken demonstration, organised by The People’s Assembly Against Austerity, demanded a general election.
Crowds in London, including protesters who had come over from France, marched from BBC Broadcasting House to a rally in Trafalgar Square.
Shadow Chancellor John McDonnell told demonstrators that Labour would bring a motion of no confidence “when the time is right” to bring down the Government, adding: “We could have a socialist prime minister.”
