It stops in the middle of certain cycles and won’t restart. I have been on to the firm but they claim I am only entitled to a repair, not a replacement. Is this the case? By law, you must give the retailer one opportunity to repair or replace the goods – and they can choose the cheaper of the two options. She paid £546 for two tickets to see Macca in Glasgow in December, yet ended up staring into a bank of huge speaker cabinets.

Maggie, 62, said: “I was devastated and close to tears on the night.”

She bought tickets for herself and a friend in July, paying Ticketmaster by debit card. The gig at the 13,000capacity Hydro was on December 14.

She said: “Our seats were nine rows from the front in block 001, which is right at the stage. I’d checked online. We were guaranteed a great view.”

The former boss of Netball Scotland said: “Aside from the speakers, the height and extension of the stage meant we couldn’t see a thing. The usher claimed it had been moved forward as McCartney had requested this.

“But no one had been in touch to let us know and I’d had the tickets since November.”

Mag g ie was offered alternative seats. But she said: “These were supposed to be an upgrade but they were in front of the mixing desk and miles away. “I’ve contacted the promoters twice wice but have heard nothing. Please help.”

I got on to Ticketmaster, Macca’s acca’s promoter Marshall Arts and the SEC – and Maggie will receive a full refund.

The SEC said: “We are sorry Ms Murray was dissatisfied.”

Marshall Arts said production would not have changed at the last minute but instructed Ticketmaster to refund.
