Guy’s game for guests

-

Crime f i lmmaker Guy Ritchie now provides B&B for wealthy guests on shooting trips at his estate.

Ritchie’s local council gave the green light to plans for his £9million farmstead in Tollard Royal, Wiltshire.

Guests are asked to fork out more than £15,000 for food, accommodation and a day’s shooting on the “premium” estate.

Lead character Dr Don Shirley is frequently seen knocking back Cutty Sark throughout the film.

French drinks group La Martinquaise- Bardinet – which blend the drink in the Highlands and West Lothian – say it has already seen an increase in popularity thanks to the blockbuster starring Mahershala Ali.

The movie has prompted a surge of orders in the UK and abroad from the licensed trade and specialist whisky shops.

Last year, eight mi l l ion bottles of Cutty Sark were sold worldwide.

The firm’srms marketing director Sylvia Bernardernard said: “We’re alreadyy seeing a lot of enthusiasmsiasm from the drinks industryndustry for Cutty Sark andd we’re sure Green Book willill be very positive for the brand.

“For thehe UK, we plan to relaunch C ut t y Sark startingg with the l icenseded trade a n d wwhh i s k y specialists.ists.

“We then want to makee it easier to buy in shops.

“We think Green Book iss a fantastic movie which shows the long anan d illustriousious history of the whisky.”
