A Scotland World Cup footballer and her sports star ex have been targeted in a cruel porn hack.

Intimate pictures of the player and her former girlfriend, an international cricketer, were stolen and circulated.

The pair are the latest in a string of female sports stars to have digital accounts breached by hackers.

Porn sites allowed the photos to be viewed on their platforms. The images are also being spread on messaging service WhatsApp.

The cricket player was able to have the photos removed after hiring London-based solicitors Himsworth Scott Ltd.

It is unclear when the photographs were made – but the legal move to have them erased from the internet took place last month.

Solicitors sent a take- down notice to Google, listing 12 sites which were breaching copyright laws.

The footballer – who starred in France in the Women’s World Cup finals – is decribed as their client’s “then girlfriend”.

Lawyers claim that the images were unlawfully downloaded and leaked as part of an iCloud hack.

A source said: “It’s terrible that something like this should happen.

“Action was taken as soon as they knew the images were online.”

The cricketer is an el ite international star and the footballer plays in one of Europe’s top leagues.

Earl ier this year, we revealed how a leaked sex tape involving a Scottishsh female sports star was beingng investigated by police.
