One last strut on the Milan catwalk for Ibra

-

Swedish legend Zlatan Ibrahimovic will be fit for today’s Milan derby as the 38-year-old looks to play a starring role in his second spell at AC.

The clash at the San Siro between the Rossoneri and second-top Inter comes after Ibrahimovic missed last weekend’s 1-1 draw with Hellas Verona through illness.

He has two goals in his five games since returning to Milan until the end of the season – with the option of one more year – in January.

And Milan coach Stefano Pioli said: “Today he is training with the squad and if he gets through that he will be available for the derby.

“He has undergone an individual training programme.

“We must all have the face of Ibrahimovic, fired up and determined. We must maximise our potential.”

In yesterday’s Serie A action Atalanta came from behind to see off Fiorentina 2-1 and stay in fourth place, three points ahead of Roma.

Duvan Zapata and Ruslan Malinovskiy found the net for the side chasing another Champions League finish.

A huge clash between Bayern Munich and RB Leipzig takes place today in a game that could determine the end destination of the Bundesliga title. Bayern currently top the table but must shake off the attention of Leipzig along with Dortmund and Monchengladbach.

Dortmund lost ground on their title rivals in a thrilling 4-3 loss at Bayer Leverkusen yesterday.

Kevin Volland struck twice for the home side only for Mats Hummels, Emre Can and Raphael Guerreiro to hit back and put Dortmund ahead. But Leon Bailey and Lars Bender hit an astonishing two goals in two minutes to turn the game on its head as Leverkusen pinched victory. In Spain’s La Liga, Getafe kept up their remarkable season by seeing off Valencia 3-0 and cementing their status in third place.

The Madrid club surged ahead with two goals from 37-yearold Jorge Molina before Jaime Mata struck the killer third with three minutes to go.
