The Australian, who was verbally abused by a group of Scots fans at a Manchester railway station in 2018, also hit out at supporters inside the ground.
He said: “It was an old-fashioned Calcutta Cup game, swirling wind and an aggressive crowd without manners.
“Rugby had a culture of respectful silence for the goalkicker. If there’s a new level of respect in Scotland we must put up with it.”
The win allowed Jones to savour the winning feeling again after his side were well beaten by France in Paris in the Six Nations opener.
He said: “Apart from 15 minutes we dominated the game. We had a few poor kicks but dominated possession and we finished it off, which we didn’t do last week. I underprepared the side for the first game – but we’ll get stronger as the weeks go on.”
Skipper Farrell added: “To come up here with the conditions and the atmosphere, we knew it would be tough. The most pleasing thing was our attitude. We grew as the game went on.”
