Palin’s final tune for good pal Terry
Michael Palin has revealed he sang Terry Jones a classic Monty Python song on his deathbed.
The actor said his co-star was unconscious when he visited him for the f inal time, shortly before the 77- year- old died f rom dementia in January.
Palin, 76, said he and Jones’s wife sang Every Sperm Is Sacred from 1983 film The Meaning of Life.
He told The Old ie magazine: “Unfortunately we couldn’t remember all the words, so if Terry was hearing me at all then, he just heard what a complete shower we were.”
Palin said on previous v isits he managed to make his friend laugh – by reading jokes that Jones himself had written.
