Theft plan backfires

Bungling criminals stole a car they took for a test drive – but were soon caught because one of them had left his ID and bank card at the dealership.

Alan Couzens, 34, and James Goulding, 21, stole the £1295 MG TF from Bassett Autos in Southampton.

The pair, from Weymouth, Dorset, have each been jailed for 18 weeks after they admitted the theft.
