Burnley .......................1 Tottenham .................1 Dele Alli grabbed his 50th Premier League goal to rescue a point for Jose Mourinho’s Spurs.

Burnley took a deserved firsthalf lead when Chris Wood tapped home the rebound after Hugo Lloris had spilled Jay Rodriguez’s long-range shot.

However, makeshift striker Alli drew Tottenham level five minutes after the break when he converted a penalty, having seen Ben Mee send Eric Lamela crashing to the ground inside the box.

Al l i said: “It ’ s a great achievement but I’d swap the 50 goals for three points. It’s two points dropped.”

The draw leaves Tottenham four points off the top four with Burnley a further two points back.

Clarets boss Sean Dyche said: “It was a very rare mistake from Ben Mee and you wonder how it would affect things .

“But we gripped hold of the game and I was really pleased with it.

“We build slowly. We are not the real deal yet but everyone here saw a good Burnley side.”
