I’ve got board’s backing
Under-fire Steven Gerrard has revealed he’s got the full backing of Dave King and the Rangers board.
The Ibrox gaffer is feeling the heat after his team crashed out of the Scottish Cup and capitulated in the Premiership title race.
But despite losing 1- 0 at home to Hami lton on Wednesday, Gerrard says he’s got the support of the club’s hierarchy.

contract until 2024 in December before he guided Rangers to a win over Celtic later in the month.
When asked if he had spoken to the South Africa- based chairman during the dismal run of form, Gerrard said: “Yes, I have regular contact with Dave and he has supported me since day one.
“This week, on the back of some bad results, all the board have been there for me and they have been rock solid. I think any manager at this football club needs that.”
When quizzed on whether King believes that Gerrard’s side can arrest their current slump and get back on track, he added: “Collectively, as a group, they have.
“I think the board have seen enough over the course of 20 months, with this same group of players, to believe we’re capable of getting through this.
“Of course, confidence has been hit. A few things have been hit of late.
“But this is a challenge for all of us to prove we can get through it.
“And that starts today at Ross County.”
