Karim’s tears after trek

-

Strictly Come Dancing runner-up Karim Zeroual sobbed as he struggled to finish his Sport Relief mission.

The BBC kids TV host joined seven other celebs to trek 100 miles across Africa’s Namib desert to help raise awareness of mental health. Karim, 26, said: “The terrain is brutal. I almost threw in the towel. After 13 hours of pain, the whole camp stood up applauding me. I broke down in tears.”

Singer Frankie Bridge was the first to give him a cuddle. Karim said: “It almost broke me.”

The Heat is On: Sport Relief is on BBC1 on Wednesday at 8pm.
