to be a one-off just for a laugh – a way of cheering folk up – but when it was over, people started messaging me saying how I had brightened up their Saturday night and asking when the next tiki party was.”

She added: “I’ve now been doing it for six weeks and I will keep going until folk get bored.

“Everyone’s summer holidays have been cancelled due to the virus but this way, for a few hours a week, we can all pretend we are on a beach somewhere warm, having a cocktail and enjoying some good tunes. It’s our way of bringing sunshine to all our friends and family.”

Tam, who was at Hibs from 1997 to 2005, said: “It’s nice to see our friends and family from all over the world joining in with Mhairi.

“I leave Mhairi to her entertaining and DJing, she’s a natural, and I’ll come on to say hi. It’s a good laugh and cheers everyone up at this sad time.”

Mhairi has been modelling since she was 20 and has appeared in count less magazines and runway shows.

She is perhaps best remembered as the girl in the bra who caught the football in the famous advert for Carling beer, which saw hundreds of men playing a massive game of soccer through the streets of Glasgow.

She met Tam, who played for a host of Scottish teams including Falkirk, Dunfermline and Dundee, on a night out in Glasgow and they were married in Greece in 2013.

Mhairi has started her own dance company and Tam coaches football and is a regular live match reporter on BBC Radio Scotland’s Sportsound.

But both have found their work has dried up because of lockdown.

Mhairi added: “I’m a really positive person and our weekly tiki sessions have given me lots of reasons to smile – I can even add DJ Maz to my CV. Life may be tough at the moment but you can make your own sunshine.”
