ITCHY’S UP TO SCRATCH!

Oll to play for in Old Roan

- Joe Punter

Itchy Feet (1.57) can have us jumping to the collect desk in the Old Roan Chase.

Olly Murphy’s charge is ready to launch his season with a strong showing at Aintree.

Itchy Feet oozed class when landing the Scilly Isles Chase at Sandown only to unseat early on in the Marsh at Cheltenham.

However, there is no doubt that the gelding has talent and the speedy flat terrain of Aintree should be right up his street.

BROTHER TEDD (1.22) looks a juicy price for Richard Johnson and Philip Hobbs in the veterans’ event.

The 10-year-old hasn’t won as often as his talent may suggest over timber and it has been a similar story over fences.

However, he always runs his race and he can give you a nice spin for your cash at double-figure odds.

The duo can also strike with the exciting GOLDEN SOVEREIGN (2.32).

The six-year-old bolted up on his last two timber runs and he can make a winning start over fences on the likely soft surface.

There is more exciting Jump action at Wincanton where FINALSHOT (1.42). can fire for the excellent

Henry Daly.

The seven-year-old has to defy a 417-day absence on his chase debut and tops the weights but he can go close thanks to Richard Patrick’s 3lb claim. PRINCESS T (4.37) should go well in the closing handicap hurdle. Neil Mulholland’s mare has been running well without quite getting home over fences at

Perth and Warwick. However, first-time blinkers can keep her mind on the job and she can finally get her head in front under the excellent Brendan Powell.

ON THE WILD SIDE (12.25) can get punters off to a flying start at Hexham.

The hurdler won going away here a fortnight ago and he can follow up for Dr Richard Newland. TORRID (2.40) is worth chancing each-way at a decent price for Mick Easterby.
