HATEFUL 8.. THE FACES OF SHAME
Eight of Scotland’s worst domestic and sex abusers of 2020 are today pictured and shamed in the Sunday Mail.
They have been convicted or sentenced this year for horrific crimes.
Detective Superintendent Debbie Forrester hopes the stiff sentences will encourage more victims to call for help. DILLAN MANNARN, 20, Edinburgh Rapist Mannarn was a teenager himself when he blackmailed teens into sending nude photos and videos. Jailed for five years for rape, abduction and extortion.
55, Dunfermline
RICHARD HYND,
Jailed for six years for sexual assaults on two women.
His crimes include abduction, throttling one victim and attacking the other as she was asleep or unconscious.
52, Rutherglen Convicted in October for offences including rape and pouncing on one woman with a knife. Jailed for seven years and will remain under supervision for a further two years.
33, Port Glasgow Jailed for 20 months for abusive behaviour. Also received a fiveyear Non Harassment Order. MICHAEL McCASH, 29, Dundee Personal trainer McCash posed as an addictions champion but subjected four ex-girlfriends to horrific abuse. Jailed for three years and will remain under supervision for a further two years. GAVIN COOPER, 38, Dundee Cooper was jailed for five years after he raped a sleeping woman and sex crimes against two other women. Also given a further three years extended e sentence.
JAMES McEWAN,
49, Dundee Jailed for six years and handed an Order for Lifelong Restriction for crimes including six rapes. One victim needed a titanium plate inserted in her jaw after an attack. 27, Bonnybridge Convicted just days ago at Glasgow High Court after being found guilty of numerous rapes, including the rape of a child.
Awaiting sentence.
