Thomas eyes second Ofir

-

A day rarely passes that Thomas Orr doesn’t wonder just how Ofir Marciano robbed him of a last-16 goal on the telly.

But with the keeper in his way at the same stage, he believes Hibs will be the ones pushed out of their comfort zone.

The striker has scored twice in Stranraer’s run to the last 16, having helped BSC Glasgow in last season’s cup fairytale.

Hibs ended it 4-1 but only after Marciano’s top stop low to his right to deny Orr what would have been a leveller. The carpet fitter, 24, said: “I probably still think about it every single day, about how he managed to save it. I’m still scunnered about it!

“Sometimes at work we still have a laugh about it, ‘ What would have happened if that did go in?’ But it didn’t so hopefully I get a goal here.

“It’s a tight pitch, it will be bobbly and dry. We’re not just going to let them do whatever they want. They’ll definitely not like coming to Stair Park.”

they’ve still got the Scottish Cup to play for.

“They’ve done fantastically well in Europe, ran away with the league – and their only blip was losing 3-2 at St Mirren in the League Cup.

“Celtic are in transition mode right now. They need to sort out their manager, director of football and their captain. They’ve got a lot of work to do this summer.

“When they come back, they’ll be up against a much better, stronger Rangers team than the one Steven joined three years ago.”

Dalglish is well aware that Gerrard will constantly be linked with a return to Merseyside to manage his boyhood club.

But he claims there’s no way current gaffer Jurgen Klopp is on his way out just yet.

Dalglish said: “There’s no rush for Jurgen to leave, he’s not going anywhere.

“If there was interest from

Liverpool in Steven, I’m sure he’ll be interested because it’s in his DNA.

“And that’s not me trying to lure him away from Ibrox.

“He’s got a fantastic job with people he trusts and respects.

“He has earned their support and he hasn’t let them down at all.”
