Kilmarnock kick-started their Premier Sports Cup campaign with a 3-1 win at Fraserburg­h.

Derek McInnes’ top flight newcomers were two goals to the good inside 20 minutes via Oli Shaw and Fraser Murray.

Rhys McCabe picked up his first win at Airdrie with a 3- 0 win at Cowdenbeat­h. Justin Devenny, Cammy Ballantyne and Adam Frizzell netted.

Lewis Hunter hit a late clincher as Annan Athletic edged out Queen of the South 3-2 at Palmerston. Tommy Goss and Chris Johnston also scored with Connor Murray and Ruari Paton replying for Queens.

In the other Group F tie, Ayr picked up a bonus point after a 4-3 shoot-out win over Elgin City following a 0- 0 Somerset stalemate.

Goals from Robert Thomson and Kieran Moore secured a 2-1 victory for Stirling Albion away at Dumbarton, who had Ross MacLean on target.
