Monster killed at least 3 women and hid bodies

Peter Tobin has been convicted of three murders, although his true number of victims is speculated to be much higher.

In February 1991 teenager Vicky Hamilton disappeare­d from Bathgate, West Lothian, as she was waiting to get a bus back home.

At the time, Tobin lived on the town’s Robertson Avenue and fled weeks after Vicky’s disappeara­nce.

Her dismembere­d body was found 16 years later in a back garden of a house in Margate, Kent, where Tobin n had moved to.

Neighbours thought he had been digging a sandpit for his son when they saw Tobin making the pit where he buried Vicky.

He was convicted of her abduction, rape and murder in 2008.

A few months after Vicky’s disappeara­nce, Dinah McNicol vanished while she was hitch-hiking home from a music festival in Liphook, Hampshire.

Dinah was just 18 years old and only 4ft 10in. She had accepted a lift from a man at a petrol station on the A3 along with fellow festival-goer

David Tremlett.

David left the car on the M25, with the driver promising to take Dinah on to Brentwood, near her home in Tillingham, Essex.

She never arrived and it would be another 16 years before her remains were discovered
