Doku too tasty for Cherries

- ROUND-UP

Bournemouth couldn’t cope with electric Jeremy Doku as he scored and delivered FOUR assists in Manchester City’s 6-1 rout.

The Belgian winger grabbed the opener at the Etihad then set up Bernardo Silva’s double and goals for Phil Foden and Manuel Akanji.

Nathan Ake completed the scoring late on, with sub Luis Sinisterra grabbing the consolation.

City boss Pep Guardiola said: “Doku is an incredible threat, so aggressive close to the box, so good there.”

The only sour note for City was star striker Erling Haaland going off.

Guardiola added: “He twisted the ankle. It’s hopefully not a big issue.”

Oli Norwood’s penalty in the 10th minute of stoppage time saw Sheffield United claim their f irst league win of the season with a 2-1 triumph over Wolves.

It looked like more Blades heartache when Jean- Ricner Bellegarde cancelled out Cameron Archer’s opener.

But they dug deep and boss Paul Heckingbottom said: “We’ve been in that position a lot and not been able to get over the line so that was a big one.”

West Ham’s poor league run continued as they blew a 2-1 lead in their 3-2 defeat at Brentford.

Mohammed Kudus and Jarrod Bowen had put the Hammers ahead after Neal Maupay’s opener.

But Konstanti nos Mavropanos scored an own goal before Neil Collins won it for the Bees.

Brighton left it late to salvage a 1-1 draw at Everton with a Karu Mitoma cross coming off Ashley Young for an OG.

Burnley made it six home defeats in a row as goals from Jordan Ayew and Tyrick Mitchell sealed a 2-0 win for Crystal Palace.
