But he is delighted gaffer Martindale will still be beside him in the Livingston dugout at Dens Park today.

“With the success and the work he has done at the club, there’s always going to be interest from others.
“The gaffer is committed to the club and has stressed that to everyone numerous times. As soon as the speculation started there was no worry from me or anyone else at the club.

“You see it now and he has had a massive part to play in that.”
Livi are looking to bounce back from a hat-trick of defeats and Hastings is confident they can end their slump at Dens today.
