Keysight shutting the site in the South Gyle area of Edinburgh.

The group also vowed further protests until Keysight drops its ties with Elbit.

A man who works nearby said: “There were two security guards on site but they were unable to take any action against the two women or detain them.”

Elbit has factories around the world and sells its products to a number of countries.

The company has faced protests across the UK for its support of the Israeli military. The police said they were investigating a report of vandalism on Lochside Place and enquiries were ongoing. There have been other demonstrations by proPalestinian groups in Edinburgh against arms manufacturers based in the capital.

Trade unionists staged an action outside the offices of multinational Leonardo on Wednesday In Gaza and protesters also called on the UK Government to halt arms supplies to Israel.

Palestine Action Scotland carried out an action against Leonardo in January in which they scaled the roof of the premises on Crewe Road before spraying red paint on the building.

Lights and air conditioning units were also smashed.

Pro- Palestinian groups gathered outside the Scottish Parliament last month in protest at a parliamentary reception for arms companies supplying Israel.

One demonstrator, Green

MSP Ross Greer, has since been accused of bringing parliament into disrepute and been reported to the ethical standards commissioner.

A Ke y s i g h t spokesperson said: “Keysight is disappointed that protesters targeted its Edinburgh site. The company takes the safety and security of its sites seriously and will work with local authorities as needed.”

Palestine Action Scotland said: “We are committed to taking direct action against all those who enable Israel’s weapons trade to operate until complicity ends.”
