CLYDE.............0 SPARTANS.......0

IAN McCALL insists Clyde should have won to move off the bottom.

But they couldn’t break down their promotionchasing rivals and remain two points adrift.

The hosts had the best chance as Jaze Kabia’s cross was nodded towards the top corner by Craig Howie. The rebound fell to Jordan Allan but he couldn’t convert as Paul Watson cleared on the line.

Bully Wee boss McCall said: “We were disappointed in the first half as we had a lot of chances to break and didn’t take them.

“It’s another game where we have not been beaten and it’s four wins from seven games.

“We probably did deserve to win it in the second half but we will take the point and move on. We are two points behind now and six weeks ago were a lot more than that.”

ELGIN CITY.......1 FORFAR...........1

CRAIG THOMSON came back to haunt his old side and hand Forfar their 15th draw of the season.

Elgin looked on course for a third win in a row in 25 minutes when Lyall Booth pounced on a clearance from a corner and fired past Marc McCallum from 20 yards.

However, a snap shot by Thomson, who had a loan spell at Elgin, levelled it up just six minutes later as Forfar stretched their unbeaten run to 11 games.

STENNY.............0 PETERHEAD.......0

CO-BOSS Jordon Brown admits he was proud as Peterhead put the brakes on the champions elect.

He said: “We are building, even if we’re not getting the goals or wins we arguably deserve.”

Peterhead’s best chance came in the first half when Conor O’Keefe had a header saved by keeper Darren Jamieson.

Stenny need just four more points to secure the title and Matty Yates nearly headed in a late winner for the Warriors.
