Sanitiser to wash his rivals away in Plumpton maiden

-

SANITISER (2.40) can rinse the bookies clean on a cracking card at Plumpton.

The Jumps season is ending in style with the Grand National at Aintree yesterday and next weekend’s Scottish National meeting at Ayr.

There’s nothing of that quality today yet the winners pay the same with some nice bets on offer.

Sanitiser has potential for the local Gary Moore yard who always seem to do well at one of their handy venues.

A useful handicapper on the Flat, the gelding gave glimpses of promise when coming fourth at Kempton in November.

Moore has opted against bringing him back out again until now and there is hope the trainer will have him ready to go.

TRANSMISSION

(3.15) could go well dropped in class for Neil Mulholland.

The seven-year-old does not have many miles on the clock and was a fine third at Ascot before scoring over track and trip in January.

Transmission has not gone so well since but this is a move down and an each-way chance is taken with Joe Anderson on board and doubts over the market leaders.

MILAN BRIDGE

(3.50) might just be in the right form to get the job done having looked back to his old self last time when bolting-up over course and distance three months ago.

The gelding hadn’t shown much beforehand but Sarah Humphrey found a key as he was driven clear to win well.

That was a career best for Milan Bridge and it might be worth staying on board the train with his mark still not looking harsh on past exploits.

Harry Cobden and Sean Bowen renew their battle for the jump jockeys title at Hereford and the current leader has two strong fancies for boss Paul Nicholls.

TOOTHLESS (1.47) can get the ball rolling having won a couple of hurdle races last term.

The six-year-old is knocking at the door over fences after good seconds on his first two starts and this might be the day when he steps in.

INSURRECTION

(2.22) should also win at short-odds so he could be the second part of a double with Toothless.

Cobden has spent the season taking outside rides and LEGIONAR (4.42) can give him another winner for Harriet Dicken.

The gelding did it nicely at Ludlow 12 days ago and a repeat can see him go close for the champion-elect.

NOW IS THE HOUR

(4.15) has strong claims for Gavin Cromwell over at Down Royal.

The gelding was a fine second at Cork on debut over fences and can go one better today.
