Toiling Old Firm stars still among Prem’s best
THE Old Firm have been slated as being bangaverage this season – but their rivals don’t seem to think so.
Celtic and Rangers players make up the majority of the PFA Scotland Premiership team of the year, voted for by all the league’s players.
And despite being out for lengthy spells injured, Celtic stopper Cameron Carter-Vickers is still in the team.
He is joined by three of his Hoops team-mates in Liam Scales, Matt O’Riley and Callum McGregor in the team, along with the Light Blues trio of Jack Butland, James Tavernier and John Lundstram.
Motherwell’s Theo Bair, Lawrence Shankland of Hearts, Aberdeen ace Bojan Miovski and Dundee’s Owen Beck are also in.
There is no argument that champions Falkirk are the team of the year in League One and they have TEN players in the PFA Scotland divisional select. They are joined by Rumarn Burrell of Cove Rangers.
Dundee United have four in the Championship team of the year and champs Stenhousemuir five in the League Two side.
