Share benefit all round, say union chiefs
EVERY part of Britain must be given better jobs and living standards after Brexit, unions demand today.
The TUC is setting out an alternative vision as PM Theresa May reveals her own industrial strategy.
Government, business and unions should co-operate and there should be more public investment it says. Money should be spent in areas hit by decline and on key industries, infrastructure and skills.
The TUC also wants worker representation on company boards.
Leader Frances O’Grady said: “We’d have more worldleading companies, we’d create more high quality jobs, and we would raise living standards.”
