Tina still hobbling a year on from The Jump

Sunday Mirror (Northern Ireland) - - News - BY JANINE YAQOOB

HOLBY City actress Tina Hobley still walks with a crutch a YEAR after her terrifying accident on The Jump.

Tina, 45, suffered serious injuries to her leg, arm and shoulder while competing on the Channel 4 show.

Just days ago she was seen in London looking unsteady and leaning on a crutch for support.

Tina says her pain and suffering has had a “huge impact” on her life.

Her acting career has been put on hold and she missed a chance to audition for ITV series Broadchurch.

And she can longer do the things she enjoys, like skiing. But she hopes the after-effects are not permanent.

The mum of three said: “For much of the year I haven’t been able to drive, dress, wash my hair or have a bath unaided. I’m very upset about not skiing with my children as I have been going for the last 30 years. It has been a really tough year, I’m not going to deny that.I hope I won’t be left with long-term problems.”

The Jump is back on February 5 despite injuries to Tina and six other stars including Olympians Rebecca Adlington and Beth Tweddle.

Tina added: “I’m still in shock that it’s going again, but of course they will have learned from all their mishaps and hopefully there won’t be any more.”

This year’s crop includes cycle star Sir Bradley

Wiggins, gymnast

Louis Smith and model Caprice.

PAINFUL Tina goes flying and is tended by medics HOPE Tina
