BAD DAY, MATE Radio 1 presenter Clara
Amfo is being chased by reality telly bosses. But what she really wants is a return to host Film 2017, after being given a stint last month.
Clara, 32, said: “I will only do TV that I’m passionate about. I won’t do it for the sake of being seen. I hosted an episode of Film 2017 on BBC1 and it was so scary but I loved it. If they ask me, absolutely I’d do it again.
“I’ve been offered a few reality ones but politely declined. They are TV shows I enjoy watching but I don’t know if I’d enjoy taking part.
“Out of all the reality shows, Strictly is the one if I was offered I would consider the most.
“I don’t think you’ll be seeing me eat kangaroo balls.” My favourite kids’ show was... Grange Hill. I remember it so well, with Tucker Jenkins and Roland. When I moved to Australia, I used to tell everyone about it and they thought I was bonkers because “Tucker” in Australia means food. My guilty TV pleasure is...
UFO Files. I’m not talking X Files, I’m talking real-deal classified and now declassified UFO files. Most people know about Roswell in 1947 and the technology developed from the retrieval of the craft there. I find it fascinating and am looking at piloting a show about it all.
The last series
I loved was...
Downton Abbey and Wentworth.
Two very different shows but both had me engrossed.
Downton was a real taste of what life was like for the English upper classes in the early 1900s. Wentworth was a slick version of Prisoner: Cell Block H. It starts when Bea Smith is first sentenced. My favourite actor is...
I’m a Robert De Niro and Al Pacino guy. The original movie gangsters. Movies like Heat, Casino, Scarface, Goodfellas and The Godfather are my favourite films of all time.
