Mother’s Day joy as Cheryl and Liam reveal they’ve had baby boy
CHERYL Fernandez-Versini last night revealed she was a mum after having “an incredibly beautiful, healthy baby boy”.
The 33-year-old singer and One Direction star boyfriend Liam Payne revealed the news in synchronised Instagram messages.
Proud dad Liam, 23, was pictured cradling the tot.
Revealing the 7lb 9oz baby was born four days ago, Geordie Cheryl said: “On Wednesday 22nd March Liam and I became parents to an incredibly beautiful, healthy baby boy, weighing 7lb 9 and looking like a dream.
“Although he still doesn’t have a name he is already stealing hearts. We are all madly in love and overwhelmingly happy with our little arrival.

“Happy Mother’s Day to all mothers around the world. A day that now has a different meaning to me forever.” Liam said in his message: “My close friends and family know there are very few times when I’m left speechless... wow! I’m incredibly happy to welcome our new baby boy into the world, it’s a moment I will never forget for the rest of my life and my favourite memory so far.
“I’m completely in awe of his incredible mother and how she has been the whole way through this, she’s really made my dreams come true. We haven’t named him yet but he’s already capturing hearts including mine. I feel very blessed. Happy Mother’s Day everyone!”
The messages were posted at 8.25pm last night. Tens of thousands of “likes” and comments were posted within minutes.
A source said: “Cheryl and Liam are absolutely overjoyed with their new arrival. He is perfect in every way. There is a lot of love and happiness in the Cheryl household.
“Cheryl is loving spending every minute with her baby. He is her little Prince Charming.”
A guessing game began as to what the name will be. Cheryl has previously said she likes Alfie while Liam fancies Taylor.
Cheryl and Liam have been dating for a year after her second marriage – to Jean-Bernard Fernandez-Versini, 36 – failed.
