Can’t make splash for my girl

My girlfriend wants us to go on a sunshine holiday next year and is online all the time trying to find a great deal.

She wants a beach holiday, in an apartment with a pool. Yes, lovely… but I can’t swim and I’m too ashamed to tell her.

I feel an idiot – I never learned as a kid and it’s too late now. I’m not going to make a fool of myself flailing about in armbands. What can I do?
