Mum locked up for drugs in bra jail bid
A MUM who was caught smuggling drugs into prison when her inmate son slipped his hand up to her bra has been jailed.
A prison officer at HMP Wymott in Leyland, Lancs, spotted the inappropriate embrace between Winifred Sweeney, 42, and her son, who then tucked something into his waistband.
The pack was found to contain cannabis, tobacco, an unidentified powder, and seven SIM cards.
Sweeney, of Aintree, Liverpool, who had no previous convictions, got six months in prison.
Preston Sessions House Court heard she had been “placed under pressure” to take the goods to her son.
