Tory Brexit rebel Andrew Bridgen is feverishly campaigning to topple Theresa May.

The North West Leicester MP says the 2017 election was like the Crimean War’s Charge of the Light Brigade.

He told me: “We’ve already been into the Valley of Death once and not all of us came back. We’re not facing the guns again under her.”

Discarding Mrs May is not easy.

It takes 48 MPs to trigger a no-confidence vote before a leadership contest can take place. As things stand she’d probably win it, making her safe for a year.

But whoever is in charge of the Tories, Andrew predicts we’ll be charging back to the polls next May. Do Hertfordshire voters know they have an MP with ambitions to act like an international terrorist?
