Sunday Mirror (Northern Ireland) - - News - BY STEPHEN HAYWARD

WELLIE DONE UP, up and array! A dazzling flight of 170 hot air balloons rises in to the sky yesterday setting a new UK record for the number aloft at the same time.

Perfect weather helped crews smash Britain’s previous best of 130.

The colourful inflatables flew from Longleat House, Wiltshire, as part of the wildlife park’s Sky Safari event which ends tonight.

Crazy-shaped balloons included Simbaloo – in honour of one of Longleat’s lions – an owl, a wolf, penguins...and even a huge Hunter wellie.

Trivia fans: The world record is 443 balloons, set in Chambley-Bussières, France, on July 26, 2015.
