Get your hands off our money

Sunday Mirror (Northern Ireland) - - News - BY KEITH STANLEY, 68, former Notts National Union of Miners general secretary

THE NUM was against this deal from the start. Everyone kept telling us how good it was, that we’d get 33 per cent more. Well, the Government got 100 per cent because they never put a penny in.

These surpluses came from miners’ contributions and they’re the ones who should benefit.

I’d have a better pension now if the Government kept its hands off it.
