Driver burns in parked car

A MAN was fighting for his life last night after getting trapped in a blazing car parked by a seaside hotel.

The victim was believed to have been in the driving seat when the vehicle burst into flames.

He suffered severe burns to his face, arms, hands and body and is recovering in hospital in Hastings, East Sussex.

The blaze happened yards from The Sussex hotel in nearby Bexhill. Police are investigating how the fire started.
