MANAGER Barry Gray hailed two-goal Rory Donnelly (below) after CLIFTONVILLE’S 3-1 win over Ards at the Bangor Fuels Arena.

Ace predator Joe Gormley also got on in the scoring stakes – after missing a sixth minute spot kick -while Donnelly blotted his copybook by heading into his own goal, giving Colin Nixon’s basement side an unexpected lifeline.

But Levi Ives ensured the Reds would leave County Down with three points when he curled on a third goal just after the break.

“Rory is in a nice little scoring streak and he took his goal well,” said Gray. “To be honest, both teams deserve a great amount of credit for putting such a show in dreadful conditions.

“It would have been easy for players to make excuses, but they dug in and the nasty side of the game to make sure we left with full points.

“It’s not too often we have to deal with conditions like that, so it massive three points for us.”

Jordan Forsythe hit the only goal of the game to earn CRUSADERS a welcome 1-0 win over Dungannon Swifts at Seaview.

The midfielder got on to the end of a corner kick from David Cushley to grab the priceless winner.

David Heatley thought he had added a second, but he was adjudged to have strayed into an offside position.
