Europe hit by whiteout

A YOUNG lad trudges through snow that left his home half buried, in Mus, Turkey, after parts of Europe were hit by falls up to 10ft deep.

Turkey was one of the countries hardest hit, with as much as 6ft also landing in Austria and Switzerland.

And the harsh conditions could be heading our way – with the UK braced for a severe cold snap this week, set to last through February.

Exacta’s James Madden forecast “prolonged” cold, with the South seeing its “heaviest snow for years”.
